Title: Sr. Storage Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA (someone who can come for F2F)

Duration: 6 months+ extensions

 

Notes:

·        Looking for a senior NetApp engineer who can design and resolve level 3 escalation issues

·        Looking for someone who has a well-rounded knowledge of the storage space

·        Technical skills in order of importance: NetApp, VMWare, Oracle

·        Soft Skills: Must be able to blend in with the team, be a good team player, quality work and quality team player

·        Joining a direct team of 10 team members in the storage space

·        Nice to have: Industry (Biotech/pharma) experience, but strong storage experience comes first

 

Job Description:

Currently seeking a Storage Engineer with a strong foundation in NetApp core technologies. The Storage Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the storage infrastructure, supports and fine-tunes the efficiency of the implemented storage management solutions, and overall storage efficiency objectives. Must have experience with design and level 3 escalation issues surrounding NetApp 

Skills:

·        Perform NetApp storage management, design, and resolution of level 3 escalation issues

·        7+ years' experience in storage

·        5+ years architecting infrastructure solutions across multiple storage and other infrastructure disciplines (VMWare, Oracle, storage, security, network, virtualization, backup, etc…)

·        Proven track record for comprehensive, systematic troubleshooting, and problem solving skills

·        Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced, global delivery environment

·        Must be a self-starter that can work independently and deliver according to expectations

·        Ability to exercise good judgment in determining work and problem resolution priorities and approaches
