Person Specification
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in Environment Support ( Application Server Installation , Trouble Shooting -all Linux , Unix environment ) , Operational Support ( production / dev environments) .
• Experience in Deployment and ensuring High availability of applications.
• A passion for automation and agile methods.
• Strong working knowledge with scripting languages, specifically shell, Perl and Python.
• Knowledge of web development (including C++, Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services), service-oriented architecture .
• Strong written and verbal communication required
• Proven experience to thrive in a complex software systems involving multi- platform development environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Position : Performance Test Lead using JMeter and Java
Location : Sunnyvale, CA
Duration : 6+ Months
1. Strong core Java programming experience on Linux/Windows Platforms and Load Test experience
a. Core Java and Multi-threading
b. Awareness of web technologies and web client programming
2. Hands-On experience on testing Large Scale Apps using JMeter
3. Scripting
a. Should have Python, Perl or shell scripting experience
b. Desirable to have Jython, Unix scripting (bash shell) and/or Windows scripting (cscript/wscript)
4. Load Test Concepts
a. System monitoring performance analysis (using any tools Graphite, Splunk, Cacti, Grinder Analyzer)
b. Exposure to testing life cycle of software product
c. Exposure to Scalability, Stress, Security, Performance, Reliability
d. Load balancers
5. Additional Skills
a. Good Problem Solving and communication skills
b. Reporting and dash-boarding skills
c. Be proactive and take full ownership for the deliverables
