The role is not a UI developer but more so someone who can develop Plugins and Extensions.
This role is 95% Remote with the potential for an onside visit in Philadelphia 2-3 times over the course of the contract.
Web Browser Extensions Developer
Location: Remote/Philadelphia PA

Duration: 9 months
Rate: Upto $65/hr C2C
Skill Sets Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science
· 5+ years' experience with Web Browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome) Extensions/Plugins development a must along with their
· deployment practices
· 5+ years programing experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, JSON, JQUERY, Oauth, RESTful API's and configuration management tools (ex GitHub)
· Understanding of HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP protocols
· Experience with UX/CX and UI Development
· General knowledge of Multiprocessing/Multi-Threading
· Experienced with Agile and or related iterative SDLCs
· Experience with scripting (shell, perl, php, python) desired
· Experience in cross browser development tools a plus
· Experience with performance and debugging browser tools a plus
· Experience with developing systems specifications (architectures, designs, etc)
· Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Must demonstrate ability to work independently and with minimum direction.
· Contractor will be responsible for developing Web Brower Extension(s) and Browser Notification Templates for Customer Protection & Anti-Piracy projects.
Core Responsibilities:
· Develops Cross Platform (Windows & OSX) Extension(s) (add-ons) for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari web browsers
· Develops technical solution (software/UI architecture, design, use cases, UX/CX, MVP/POC, mockups etc)
· Supports and/or leads development of Notification Platform templates utilizing JavaScript/HTML/CSS
· Adheres to guidelines and best practices related to performance, security and conformity in order to provide excellent
· customer experience
· Works in an AGILE/DevOps environment to define, develop, maintain and support products
· Defines and conforms to continuous deployment and continuous integration
· Interprets issues and recommends complete solutions based on best practices and proven technologies
· Experience performing daily defect triage and reviewing defects with multiple teams and managing the defect through its
· life cycle
· Attends Scrum meetings, sprint planning sessions, follow Agile methodologies
· Keeps documentation up to date, including requirements, design documents, wiki documents, etc
· Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills and ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate ideas, analysis, issues to
· team, stakeholders, and management
· Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
