Position : DevOps Engineer
Location : Sunnyvale, CA
Duration : 6+ Months
Key skills are:
· DevOps skills with Maven, SVN and working with Java, oracle and CLM applications
· Be self-starter and proactive and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Development operations resources needed to support Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) application.
1. The team will be responsible for maintaining and supporting non production environments for the CLM application. This includes application servers, DB servers, web servers, etc. and coordinate with Infrastructure teams (SE/DBA/network), APS/Dev teams, and third party vendor to perform necessary tasks. Daily tasks could include patching systems, gathering logs, perform testing on various system, tuning parameters so the applications are stable and perform well according to the expectation.
2. The team will be responsible to run smoke tests after each deployment, run test scripts and use case scenario to verify bug fixes and regression test the application after each product release installation.
3. The team is responsible to create and update all documentation related to deployment and configurations of all the environments.
4. The team will also be responsible for minor bug fixes, release management and level II operation support. They will work closely with the tech leads and dev team for these applications.
5. Technology stack include JBOSS, WebSphere application server, multi tier web applications, web services(SOAP and RESTful), Spring, jQuery, and Oracle database. Knowledge of IBM software such as Emptoris, DataStage, and Cognos is beneficial.
6. All team members should possess the following qualifications:
a) Having can-do attitude
b) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
c) Good communication skills
d) Offshore team members need minimum 2 years of experience
e) Familiar with development and deployment in Linux environment
f) Understand the importance of software development methodologies and tooling, such as Maven, Subversion.
g) On site person needs to have at least 5 years of experience, have excellent can-do attitude in a demanding environment, demonstrable self-initiative and leadership skills.
