Position: Delivery practice (Quality) consultant

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Duration: 3 months (Extendable)

 

JD

·         Delivery practice (Quality) consultant- Provides project management expertise, coaching and consultation to business areas and/or the IS Department in order to meet department and cross-department goals. 

·         Builds relationships with project team to support objectives, managing risks in order to accomplish project results.  Independently monitors and tracks complex project assignments. 

·         Coach and support project managers. 

·         Principal Accountabilities of a DPC

·         Help with project planning and facilitate stage gate review and ensure teams have the right deliverables in place for gate readiness

·         Accountable for helping project teams with industry best practice on delivery methodology with a focus on Agile, Scrum.

·         Accountable for monitoring and consulting on risk management to manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

·         Compliance with Company approved methodology and required deliverables.

·         Basic consultation on estimating and obtaining resources (money, staffing, technology), defining the project structure into manageable work units, creating a single unified project plan to deliver the   project, allocating resources to project activities, communication, and organizational change.   

·         Consults in identifying, managing and escalating risks and developing risk mitigation strategies. 

·         Ensures completeness of estimates, risks, assumptions, constraints and interdependencies for viable solution options.  

·         Other consultation areas include Defect Mgmt, Change Mgmt and Issue Mgmt in order to minimize impact to outcomes. 

·         Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, monitor status updates in a timely and clear fashion.
