Position: Web Architect/ Solution Architect
Location: Florham Park, NJ and Chicago, IL
Duration: 12+ months

Position Summary:
The Application Architect will work to a) provide architecture oversight for the Enterprise Digital applications
This position will be responsible for (but not limited to) :
•Defining the Cross-System Solution Architecture for Enterprise Digital initiatives and Maintaining the System Architecture
•Assessing and presenting solution options to senior management to support effective guide decision making on software architectural matters
•Following architecture guiding principles and enterprise standards for information security and compliance
•Ensuring best-in-class architecture and design documentation
•Providing architecture and design guidance to development teams consisting of employees and contractors
•In-depth review of Design and Development Deliverables prepared by developers
•Providing continuous oversight and leadership through all phases of the software development life cycle including deployment and post-production to ensure project success , quality and ongoing application health
•Hands-on participation in development of proof of concepts for new and innovative solution extensions
•Working as a Subject Matter Expert in specific application domain and technology areas
Required Qualifications:
* 10+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Java based enterprise applications .
* Design and development experience in large scale web and enterprise systems
* Experience in SOA, Web-Services
* Experience in SAML, Siteminder, LDAP and B2B integration
* Experience in designing for performance and other non-functional requirements
* Experience in using UML for creating and architecture and design artifacts
* Strong verbal and written communication.
* Ability to analyze and communicate business impact of key design decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience developing and integrating B2B web applications
•Practical skills in Web services, content management, and Mobile development
•Familiar with agile development practices
