Job Description:

Job Description: Create applications from detailed specifications using specified programming language(s)
Code, test, debug, document and maintain programs
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Front end development (GUI interfaces) utilizing ODBC to connect to any Open Architecture RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) such as Oracle and Sybase
Analyzes application requirements and provides recommended design
Create detailed project outlines and application design specifications
Quality reviews of code developed by other development staff
Develops test plans
Designs for more complex integration with other applications/technologies
Responsible for leading a team of developers and managing to project timelines/deliverables
Assist senior developers with project outlines and specifications
Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS
Strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills
Extensive experience with PL\SQL and SQL Loader
Strong data design skills
Thorough understanding of database transaction processing
Experience with extraction and validation of data
Experience with conversion of data, mapping field values, filtering unwanted data, error handling and tracking
Experience with Unix and shell scripting
ARIBA knowledge a plus
EDI, FTP, connect direct knowledge a plus

Additional Skills: A seasoned, self-motivated lead developer is needed for the next generation BIOspecimen STOrage & REquest system (BIOSTORE) capability to enable Client Translational R&D. This role will design and develop key integrations of BIOSTORE with Clinical Trial Management System (ORACLE SIEBEL CTMS), Clinical Data Management, Waston LIMS System, ELN, and other scientific applications within Client R&D. Design, prototype, develop, test and deliver key integration points. Prepare data that needs to be migrated into BIOSTORE from existing systems. Deliver design artifacts including system architecture, functional design, detailed design, installation/operational qualification documents. Contribute to development of integration points and joint efforts with project vendors.

* Strong skills in architecture, software design and development, design pattern, framework, n tier architecture with at least 8 or more years experience.
*Strong skills in large-scale technical integration projects and expertise in EAI and data integration patterns.
* Advanced expertise in Java, ActiveMQ, Tomcat, Oracle, ORACLE AIA, SQL Server, ET tools, SQL, AJAX, DHTML/CSS, XML, Restful and SOAP web service technologies.
* Strong ability to coordinate detailed deliverables from vendor technical teams and internal service providers.
* Working knowledge of software development life cycles, configuration management and best software engineering practices.
*Clinical Domain experience including Clinical Data Standards CDSC.
*Experience in scientific application development in BioPharm/Biotech is a strong plus.
*Experience in developing software and integrations for GCP/GLP validated environments.
*Bachelor s degree in scientific discipline or technology related field, higher degree preferred.
