Role: Java Technical Lead
Location: Columbus Ohio
Duration: 12 Months plus multi-year
Interview Type: Phone screen, then face to face interview for local candidates and Skype for non-local
This is a heavy UI development project – Angular, Bootstrap, CSS 3, HTML 5, JavaScript. But also Spring MVC.
Prefer local and must have excellent communication skills and be able to pass a technical screening interview on Java and front end technologies.
The position will entail leading a team of engineers to develop the middle and front-end tiers of a web application.
The Technical Java Lead will need to have the below experience:
· Experience leading a team in an agile SDLC.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with product sponsors and senior leadership in engineering and business.
· Ability to analyze business requirements and identify possible gaps, ambiguities, missing scenarios, etc.
· Experience with designing and implementing sound engineering solutions that meet the business need.
· Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
Required Skills:
Strong applied knowledge of the following items:
Design Patterns
Java Web Development (Servlets, JSPs, Filters, Error Handling, Validation, JSTL/EL)
Spring 3.X MVC
JavaScript, JQuery, XHTML, CSS
RESTful Web Services
Tiles 2.X
Application Testing (e.g. unit, integration, load)
Code Quality and code review
