SQL Server Developer - Senior Level

Location: Buffalo, NY 14203

Position Type: Contract

Required Skills:

• Expert level SQL developer capable of designing/coding/supporting very complex TSQL in A Microsoft SQL Server environment (2005 – 2012).

• Must be able to read/interpret/improve TSQL query plans without the use of any tools other than MS SQL Server Management studio.

• Must be familiar with database tuning using various methods of investigation including SQL Server Profiler and TSQL queries.

• Must be well versed in how to write highly performant TSQL; must understand how the SQL Server optimizer works under various circumstances, and be able to speak to a variety of performance enhancing techniques.

• Candidate must be fluent in English and have very strong writing and verbal communication skills.

• 10 years' experience in systems analysis and application development or equivalent combination

• Analyze, design and support applications that interface with the database

• Database architecture and design principles including designing tables, views, indexes, etc.

TSQL design and coding practices involving stored procedures, functions, etc.

• Application Design for applications using Microsoft SQL Server back end

• Writing, testing, debugging, optimizing existing code

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
