Job Description:

This position provides architectural and big picture oversight for design, development, maintenance and enhancement of online transaction and batch processing applications for new or existing products. This includes providing leadership and mentoring to Software Engineers in the technical aspects of their assignments.

 

Essential Functions 

•       Mentor and monitor Software Engineers in the technical aspects of their assignments. 

•       Assist in the preparation of Detail Design Documents from Business Requirements defining viable design approaches.

•       Assist in the preparation or review formal systems documentation prepared by Software Engineers (e.g., Technical Document).    

•       The design, development and maintenance of high volume, high performance, batch processing applications in the appropriate programming platform. 

•       Validate code is designed to meet technical requirements by participating in code reviews, performing validation testing, etc.

•       Ability to rapidly acquire new application development technologies familiarity and train the technical team members with the acquired technical knowledge.

•       Ability to support/maintain existing products and add new features as requested by customers.

•       Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.

 

Minimum Qualifications

•       Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field.

•       7 years of design, development, implementing software and leading technical teams

•       Effective communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on written and verbal communication skills and documentation practices.

•       Expert problem-solving and diagnostic methods

•       Approved background and drug screen is required.

 

Expert in:

•       C# language skills

•       ASP .NET

•       OOA/OOD skills

 

Experience in:

•       SQL Server Procedures and SQL

•       ASP .NET

•       RDBMS's-specifically MS SQL-Server and Oracle

•       Web Services

•       IIS

•       Multi-threading & UML

•       Agile process experience

•       Distributed system design skills

•       TDD design patterns

 

Preferred Qualifications

•       knowledge in:

•       SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

•       Java

•       System Administration

•       Networking

•       High volume applications

•       Experience with Subversion source code revision control

•       Additional related education and/or experience
