Important Skills
Tech – Release Management and Salesforce Administration
Soft – Communication skills and interaction with Business Users
Interview Process : PS + onsite or Skype - technical interview + business users interview for 2 hours (1 hour each)
Must Have :
Communication - Interact with business users
Good usage understanding of SF Administration, not APEX Development
Release Management - Moving code from one environ to another, tends to be a lot of little issues.

Day to Day :
There are a couple smaller groups using salesforce now, but the implementation for the Executive program is happening in January. This role supports those already using SF and the Executive group that will be using SF. This is Salesforce Administration - Sit down with business partners and evaluate features and functionality of current salesforce and discuss those new features coming down the line. Release management process. Lay out a business process within the tools.
Salesforce.com (SFDC) Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities
Harvard Business School is in the process of implementing SFDC and is looking for an experienced SFDC Administrator to lead the platform's administration during the project and into production. The Administrator will be part of our IT organization in the Application and Web Services team and will be responsible for maintaining the School's SFDC implementations in multiple orgs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, document, build, test, and deploy enhancements to SFDC custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports and complex dashboards within SFDC – blue wolf (3rd party integrator) does this. Some kind of scripting would be ideal for this candidate
- Configure and maintain user profiles, role hierarchy, sharing rules and security
- Configure, maintain, support and conduct release management for sandboxes and production instances
- Provide administrative support for SFDC integrations - Done an integration before would be ideal.
- Provide input for conduct training sessions and training materials
Our Ideal candidate:
- Has used the SFDC metadata API extensively
- Has written scripts to automate and manage the deployment process
- Has used automated tools such as Selenium to handle tasks that can't be handled via the metadata API
- Reviews Salesforce release notes and advocates for features that make the SFDC administrator's job easier
- Has excellent interpersonal communication skills, is willing to explain technical details to team members with vary levels of experience, and enjoys working with others
