Position: QA Specialist

Location: Atlanta, GA

Hourly rate: 30 /hr All Inclusive

Conversion Salary:

Longevity: Contract 6 months+

Travel: None

Openings: 1

Start: ASAP

 

Key Activities
• Review user stories and other requirements documentation and analyze acceptance criteria.
• Organize and capture functional complexity in a comprehensive test plan.
• Design and implement test harnesses.
• Execute manual / automated test cases (on multiple devices and platforms).
• Execute functional and non-functional tests and conduct sanity and regression testing.
• Conduct compatibility tests using different devices, browsers and operating systems.
• Identify, analyze and document defects, errors and inconsistencies.
• Contribute to stand-up / status meetings and produce quality status reports.
• Identify areas of efficiency and opportunity between the Functional and Automation testing teams.
• Provide input to resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control.
• Inspect and interpret iOS/Android crash reporting applications.

Required Skills
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in an Agile software development life-cycle with direct developer interaction
• Minimum 2 years the lead quality resource for agile development team.
• Expert level experience in mobile application testing standards and practices.
• Experience testing REST APIs or backend systems.
• Experience creating test automation scripts as part of a Continuous Integration environment
• Test management and defect tracking tools (Bugzilla, Buganizer, Quality Center, TestRail, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Skills
• Experience managing test cases and execution in a major agile ALM toolset (VersionOne, RallyDev, etc.)
• Knowledge of mobile devices operating systems, including Android, Windows, iOS.
• Experience performing application performance profiling.
