| Job Title | Embedded Software Developer - Powertrain |
| Relevant Experience (in Yrs) | 5+yrs |
| Technical/Functional Skills | Model Based Development using MATLAB, Embedded C CAN & Diagnostic Development CANoe, INCA,MATLAB, Hands on Experience of Powertrain System Development - preferably Diesel Domain Knowledge of Hardware in Loop Systems (dSPACE / ETAS / National Instruments) |
| Experience Required | MUST HAVE 1. Strong development experience in embedded automotive software development 2. Strong knowledge of Expert in Diesel Engine Domain / powertrain domain / body domain 3. Experience in Model based software development using MATLAB Simulink, auto-code generation, Model validation 4. Experience in CAN Communication Interface development, J1939 interface, Diagnostic protocol understanding & validation 5. Hands on Experience in any Hardware in Loop Validation ; ETAS is preferable 6. Strong hands on experience in development of test plan, test script and execution on HIL system 7. Strong communication and documentation ability 8. Understanding of software release process – understanding of IBM Rational Tools is added advantage. 9. Strong Debugging and Problem solving ability Good to Have 10. Complete Knowledge of SDLC with various domains 11. Effort estimation experience across any domain 12. Tools knowledge like Microsoft Project |
| Roles & Responsibilities | 1. Design and Development of Diesel Engine Control Strategies e.g. Cruise Control, Torque Control, Torque Monitoring etc. 2. Development of Interface Layer for CAN communication 3. Perform embedded software engineering for engine controller 4. Manage customer software requirements 5. Test and validate new software features on HIL Investigate and resolve system and software feature anomalies using debugging tools Strong software development background and familiarity with microcontroller architecture |
| Generic Managerial Skills | Good Communication skills and motivated team player |
| Education | - Bachelors / Masters of Science in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication or a related Engineering field |
