REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, information technology or related field plus at least five (5) years of experience (ORACLE DATABASE OR ORACLE APPS) administering enterprise-class business systems and web-enabled applications in Sun Solaris, Microsoft Windows, and Red Hat environment; as well as advanced knowledge of concepts in enterprise-class software development. Prior hands-on assignments with ORACLE DATABASE OR ORACLE APPS IS MANDATORY and other enterprise applications in the areas of case processing, document workflow, finance and procurement, and reporting is required:

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an Oracle database administrator with application Administration 11.5 and above experience with eBusiness and PL/SQL, is responsible for fully supporting Oracle databases to; ensure availability, performance and security. Requires database design skills including complex architecture designs and databases over 1TB.
Candidate must understand the internals of the Oracle concurrent manager and understand how to monitor and tune Oracle application.
Familirity with Oracle Advanced Supply Chain, Financials, Demantra, iSupplier, OBIEE, RMAN, SSO, OID, shared appl tops, RAC.
The functions of this position centers around the development, testing, support, and operation of the mainframe, server, and data storage components and facilities that comprise a large, multi-platform technology infrastructure.
Responsible for providing technical expertise for the availability, performance, and functionality of key components and systems.
• Installing and upgrading the Oracle Database and application tools
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
• Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application
• Creating primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application
• Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
• Enrolling users and maintaining system security
• Ensuring compliance with your Oracle license agreement
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
• Planning for backup and recovery of database information
• Maintaining archived data on tape
• Backing up and restoring the database
