Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Rate: $55-60/hr
Want a drug and background check performed by Concise.
The Front-End Web Developer codes websites using HTML5, CSS, Javascript or other web-based programming languages; experience with PHP and Drupal is a plus. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining knowledge of technology evolution and best practices and recommending implementation into current environment as appropriate. The Web Developer will also review internal and third party applications and code for effectiveness, efficiency, security and adherence to specifications.
Essential Functions:
Develop website functionality through various technical languages to fulfill the website wireframe designs.
Provide expertise in user experience & web design.
Provide expertise in website development (software, and methods) to support business needs and maintain security requirements.
Assist in training of IT and business unit staffs regarding web best practices.
Interact with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure quality and performance of web architecture and websites are consistently high.
Monitor applications development QA and ensure adherence to company security.
Perform all activities related to support and development for assigned project team(s).
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
Experience:
5+ years advanced HTML/CSS experience with tableless design.
Use of CSS pre-processors (ie SASS or LESS) a plus
Recent HTML 5 and CSS 3 experience a plus
3+ years JavaScript development
jQuery and/or Bootstrap experience a plus
2+ years Drupal experience including advanced theming
Familiarity with Photoshop and/or InDesign
Responsive web design/development a plus
Achievement focused and able to work in a collaborative environment.
Project management and high attention to detail.
Experience working on an Agile team is preferred.
Experience working on educational products/sites is a plus.
