Position: System Design Engineer
Location: Orange County, CA
Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Good possibility for extension)
Requirements:
Our Client is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. They offer a family of HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) chipsets for use in cellular handsets, PC cards and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and validating cellular RFIC systems including the following:
• RFIC transceiver systems bring up, debugging, optimization, verification
• Own RFIC system verification test plans
• Characterize overall RFIC Transceiver performance
• Develop software in Python, C++, Matlab
• Support IC design, platform and production teams In this role, you will work closely with the RFIC design team as well as other design groups across a variety of products and technologies within the company
• Prefer Masters in Electrical Engineering (at least 3 years experience) in the field of RF, RFIC, RF systems, or RF applications
• Strong knowledge of Cellular GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, LTE transceivers
• Must be able to analyze RF system such as receiver, transmitter with essential parametric
• Understanding the trade offs of the RF systems design is essential
• Strong hands on Lab skills
• Knowledge of RFIC circuits such as PLL, LNA, Mixer, PGA, PA, etc.
• Good Programming skills
