Job Role: Perl Developer

Location: Bloomington, IL

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 12 months with high possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

Seeking an individual with strong development and coordination skills to support the migration of Federated Data Warehouse (FDW) 1.0 related applications.  The Individual should be able to design, build and implement new development and should be skilled and analyzing and solving system and data problems; test and implement solutions as appropriate, and provide support for efficient daily operation of the data processing system. Individual will be working with a central team for the migration in a factory model.

Skill Requirements:

·         Korn shell Scripting and Perl scripting knowledge on Linux/Unix platforms

·         Strong understanding of data management

·         Familiarity with Data Warehousing concepts

·         Strong understanding of Informatica or similar data movement technology

·         Past experience in a large data conversion project

·         Can see the big picture, understanding of data conversion but also knows the details to be able to see issues, gaps in data conversion and bring to light

·         Strong understanding of requirements gathering and facilitation

·         Technical skills in Perl, UNIX, DB2,

·         SQL, Korn Shell Scripting, COBOL.

·         Knowledge of COBOL, Host, JCL.

·         Minimum 5 years coding and testing experience in a production environment

·         Efficient in creating tasks, requests, Incidents and Change Records in HP Service Manager

Soft Skill Requirements:

·         Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written

·         Ability to coordinate work efforts and resources as needed

·         Ability to work well independently and in a team environment

·         Commitment to producing high quality of work

·         Demonstrates initiative

·         Flexibility and adaptability to changes

·         Good command of English language, both oral and written

·         Good documentation skills

·         Good organization and planning skills

·         Strong analytical and technical skills
