Position: Sr. Cognos Developer
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 12+ Month
Required:-
9-10+ years of IT experience involving various aspects of Business Intelligence.
Cognos 10 Suite (Framework manager, Report Studio, Migration of Cognos 8 to 10
Analysis Studio, Cognos Connection, Event Studio, Query Studio) ,
Cognos Impromptu 6x/7x, Power Play 6x/7x, IWR, Upfront, Cognos 8 SDK, Cognos 8 Enterprise Planning, Business Objects 5.1,MS Excel, Access
ETL: Informatics 8x
Databases: Oracle 8i/9i/10g, PL/SQL, Nateeza, SQL Server 2000/5.0, DB2 and query optimization techniques
Operating Systems: Windows 2003 Enterprise Server, XP, Windows 2000,
UNIX Servers: Application Servers (WAS, Tomcat), Web Servers (IIS, IHS)
Well versed with complete Life Cycle Development process including requirement analysis, documentation, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
Solid experience in creating PL/SQL scripts and Stored Procedures to retrieve, load and manipulate data
Expert level with developing metadata models in Framework Manager following best practices
Experience with Implementing new dashboards using Portets pages and cognos workspace
Strong skills developing DMR models in Framework Manager and dimensional reports in Report Studio
Skilled at training users to use Query Studio and Analysis Studio, Cognos Workspace
