Senior Oracle DBA Contractor (8+ years of exp)
LOA: now until June 2015
Location: Cleveland, OH
Senior Oracle Database Administrator
The Senior Oracle DBA is one who understands the technical aspects of 11g/10g Oracle Databases. Will work with development teams, DBA teams and platform engineers.
Provides installation, configuration, support, administration and general consulting to the development teams, DBA teams and platform engineers for the existing and future Oracle technologies and environments.
Knowledge & Experience
· 5+ years IT experience.
· 5+ years experience in supporting and managing the installation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle 11g/10g databases and the associated architecture.
· Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, SSO, OIM, OBIEE, ODI, OSB, AIA, SOA, Weblogic aplication server desirable.
· 3+ years experience with Unix/Linux platform.
· 3+ years working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.
· Ability to understand and apply advanced database administration and management techniques.
· Strong ability to resolve highly technical and complex database and infrastructure related issues.
· Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
· Consult with end users and developers to recommend the most appropriate database solution.
· Assist in the designs of data models.
· Perform quality assurance & design review functions for all projects where the technology will be utilized.
· Work with Developers, System and Network administrators in a multinational environment to support and improve system performance and stability.
· Establish and calculate optimum values for database parameters.
· Work with Oracle technical support on technical issues.
