Requirement Details

Position : BackEnd Java Developer

Location : Boston, MA

Duration : 6 months

Our industry leading client in Boston, MA is in need of hiring a Backend Java Developer to join their team on a 6 month contract assignment ((possible extensions or temp to perm)). The ideal candidate will be a Back-End Java Developer with experience building custom business applications. The Application Development Contractor is responsible for building, integrating, and maintaining business applications that enable our client's Financial Settlement processes.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop and deploy new applications and/or enhancements to the existing Financial Settlements solution
* Participate in the Agile development process and work collaboratively within the team
* Work with business users to analyze problems and design solutions
* Demonstrate initiative, engagement, and a commitment to quality and customer service

Qualifications:
* BA/BS in computer science or other related field
* 3 or more years experience developing and maintaining custom business applications
* Strong knowledge of object oriented programming
* Expertise in Java and MVC web frameworks (our client does not require a specific framework)
* Working knowledge of SQL (Oracle preferred)
* Experience with Agile development helpful but not required
