Java Developer (With Core or Swing)
6 +Months Contract
NYC, NY

 

PHONE INTERVIEW FIRST AND THEN ONSITE INTERVIEW IN NYC,NY. IS REQUIRED

 

Roles and Responsibilities:
Senior developer on Thunderdome Client Communications Workflow (CCW) project.
Design and develop new Java components and database stored procedures.
Provide L3 support during deployment of the CCW functionality.           

 

Role Description:
This position is for a hardcore developer to work in the global Cash Equity middle office technology team. The immediate focus of this developer position will be to work on adding new features to the Thunderdome post-trade client servicing application, which is in the IB top 40 programs.

 

Required Tech skills:
Strong core Java, multi-threading, and asynchronous messaging programming
Server Side coding
Java Swing programming, swing GUI
Oracle database programming experience
Good communication skills

 

Candidate profile:
Smart, innovative, talented, resourceful, self-motivated, high-energy, passionate and full of intellectual curiosity. At least three to five successful years at a financial institution or technology/software company doing similar work and have developed areas of significant technical expertise with a proven ability to support their products. Makes good time estimates, cooperates when planning projects that span groups, mentors junior staff and helps to generally bring up the level of play for everyone.
