Storage Architect
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Should have 5-8 years' experience and good understanding AS/400 based interactive and batch application development and Support. He should experience in all the phases of the SDLC like understanding and analyzing requirements, writing user requirement specs, writing technical specs and design docs, designing, coding, debugging applications followed by unit testing, testing support and post production support, doing other necessary documentation etc.
Should have hands on experience on OS upgrade from V5R4 to V6R1 and/or higher along with the 3rd party softwares housed in AS/400 system. He should be able to lead the team. Should have experience in AS/400 administration. Experience in applying patches/PTFs/SARs, installing/compiling objects of 3rd party applications into the AS/400 system is desired.
Should have experience in RPG/400, CL/400, RPGILE, CLLE, DB2/400, QRY/400, SQL/400, RLU, SDA, job scheduler, administration works on AS/400. Knowledge on Data Mirror V4 and V6 is desired but not a mandatory. Knowledge on SYNON, JDE program generator on AS/400 is a plus.
Should have excellent communication skills (Telephone, Email) as he/she will be working with SMEs from business, IT and Third party vendors. He should be able to work independently. Experience on onsite-offshore delivery model is a plus.
Should have working knowledge of tools like Remedy, SOX and other quality control processes.
