Review requirements to assure that requirements can be used to write comprehensive Test Plans (formerly known as Test Cases)
- Review of Design documents to ensure system impacts are properly assessed
- Write Test Strategies and review with application development teams and stakeholders obtain sign-off
- Review Functional Test Plans to ensure adequate testing coverage of requirements and design provide feedback /sign-off
- Ensure that Functional Testing executed meets documented testing standards. Ensure that all exceptions to standards follow the documented exception process.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Gates (entrance/exit criteria)
- Ensure adherence to Testing Processes and Standards
- Ensure integrity of Test Data, Test Conditions, sampling and coverage - provide feedback
- Review Functional Test Results - provide feedback in timely fashion where discrepancies exist.
- Review consistency of Defect Severity - provide feedback
- Advise on removal of features from release relative to testing completion and operational risk
- Create Pre-Prod Project Quality Risk Scorecards and corresponding Quality Risk Reports, and work with business stakeholders to obtain business sign-off of the identified risks
- Follow-up on outstanding Risks, and publish Risk Report follow-ups.
- Produce Quality Metrics and Quality Scorecards
- Analyze if targeted regression needs to be executed beyond standard baseline regression. Coordinate regression with regression team
- Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including senior business leaders, change team, release team, PMO, project managers, operations directors and managers
- Provide input to the creation of test environments, environment review and acceptance, liaising with technical staff as required
- Work collaboratively with organization to ensure established procedures, standards and processes are utilized consistently throughout the development lifecycle
- Support all audits for the Quality Assurance department
- Accountable for all deliverables for assigned projects within the assigned Business Vertical
- Contribute in Development, standardization & rollout of testing framework - Test governance, life cycle, process, techniques, standards, tools etc.
- Contribute in Identifying & managing test process improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency
- Being responsive to Customer needs, as well as managing Customer Expectations.
- Ensure that there are No defect escapes and High Severity incidents for tests delivered, in subsequent phases and in production.
