Title: CCNA Cisco Network/System Administrator
Location: Lexington, Kentucky 
Duration: Contract for multiple years - 1 year guaranteed

Seeking a Network Administrator with 3-5 years of experience in Cisco networking. You will join a focused, professional team that is responsible for maintaining a 24x7x365 IT shop supporting research and development at multiple sites. 



Networking: 
Experience performing network administration tasks including design/deployment/troubleshooting/maintenance of Cisco network equipment.(switch/access point deployment, subnet/VLAN deployment, STP, 802.1Q, trunking, HSRP, link aggregation, RIP, EIGRP, tunneling, NAT/PAT, load balancing, firewalls/access lists, TACACS/RADIUS authentication, 802.11, WPA/WPA2/802.1x). 

Experience with network administration tasks including load balancing via Cisco IP SLB/GSS/ACE, ISC BIND/DHCP administration, IPv6 configuration/troubleshooting, WAN simulation and zoning. 

Experience with line technician tasks including patching and testing(Cat5/6, fiber optic cable such as Multi-mode/Single mode, and  analog lines).
 
Experience with various networking protocols(HTTP/HTTPS, NFS, iSCSI, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP/BOOTP) and the OSI model. 

Knowledge of Cisco products including wired(Catalyst 6500/4900/4500/2960, MDS and Nexus hardware) and wireless(Cisco AIR 1240/1250) as well as their operating systems(IOS/NX-OS).

Perform network management activities to include, but not limited to, maintaining Domain Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name Server (DNS) services, network monitoring systems (Nagios, SolarWinds), system logs, Configuration Backup, etc. 

Responsibilities: 
* Network design, capacity, and refresh planning 
* Size, implement and deploy client/server networks including DHCP/DNS/IPv6 
* Monitors ticketing system 
* Troubleshoots network problems

 Education:
* REQUIRED: CCNA with 3-5 years of enterprise level networking support & Degree in computer science related field
