Job Title : Business Analyst
Location: : Chicago, IL
Duration : 3+ Months
Candidates need to be able to interview in person for this role and need a strong BA background in the application development area(see job req below) with a focus on Microsoft Technologies. In addition they need strong financial exp. This is not a pure functional role.
Core Requirements
· Strong experience and understanding in the financial services industry.
· Strong process management and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication skills. Applicant will provide examples of written communications from prior engagements.
· Experience in quality assurance testing.
· 5 plus years' experience with development languages, tools, databases and platforms a plus. Focus on following technologies: Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), Visual Studio .NET 2005+ (specifically VB.NET and C#), MS SQL Server 2008 (Management Studio, stored procedures and TSQL), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), MS Access 2003+.
· B.A., B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, Financial Services, or related field.
Consultant will be working on a reporting and app development platform for Investment Strategies ("POLICE Report")
· Document and analyze business processes.
· Work with business and support departments to identify solutions for meeting objectives.
· Develop detailed user requirement and functional specification documents.
· Author and execute test plans to ensure successful implementation.
· Applicant will work with business unit, project management and application development staff. Position will report to manager of Application Development
