Agile developer using Groovy on Grails to develop a web service platform for a mobile-enabled website.
- Advocated Test-Driven Development by developing by example. Conducted a lunch-and-learn session to explain the method and benefits of TDD.
- Designed and developed "contract-first" SOAP web services using XSD schemas and Spring-WS. Used SOAP UI on a daily basis to create web service test cases.
- Developed application code using J2EE with EJB 2.1 and deployed to Websphere 7.
- Utilized ClearCase and BuildForge for version control and continuous integration on a daily basis.
- Created a set of utilities to enable programmatic testing of web service endpoints.

3-5+ years' experience in web application development
Web UI development using Groovy Grails, Javascript/AJAX, CSS, and SQL
Experience with MVC Architecture
Experience working with security authorization / authentication
Strong working knowledge developing cross-browser compatibility for web applications
Experience in multiple software development lifecycle phases, including scope and proposal, analysis, design, and software construction.
Experience planning and breaking down a task into sub-tasks and estimating effort to perform the work.
Familiarity with various requirements gathering techniques.
Familiarity with software usability concepts.
Experience facilitating meetings with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.
Software prototyping experience.
