Must have skills:

Experience managing Linux systems preferably in a clustered environment

Installation, configuration and administration of Linux kernel

Experience in managing SAN storage (EMC VNX storage is preferred) connected to server such as creating LUNs, RAID volumes, configuring multipathing etc.

Understands various tuning parameters available in Linux

Configuration of network interconnects such as Ethernet, infiniband

Understands IO stack in Linux kernel (SCSI/FC protocols)

Understands various error and event logging subsystems available in Linux environment

Troubleshooting the environment and capturing relevant logs

Scripting in Linux environment
