Job Description:  

 

1.0Requirements

1.1       Definition

Remedy Engineering contract support for a new enterprise, multi-tenant implementation of the Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite and integrated products.  The Remedy Engineer will provide on-going operational support as well as development support for future upgrades and enhancements.

            1.2       Operational Day to Day Duties

·         Perform the installation, upgrades, configuration, application development, and/or customizations, administration and integration of the BMC ITSM Remedy based applications (v7.6 or higher) including AR System (v7.5 or higher), Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management (SRM), Service Level Management (SLM) and Asset Management and Atrium CMDB.

·         Perform Remedy IT Service Management Suite v7.6 or higher including AR System v7.5 application support including developing technical documentation, assisting with the development of end-user documentation, interfacing with application owners and the Service Desk, and properly tracking all support efforts

·         Provide development and support of one or more product integrations to BMC ITSM Remedy Suite such as but not limited to, BMC Atrium Discovery Dependency Mapping v8.0 or higher (ADDM), BMC Proactive Net Performance Management (BPPM), BMC BladeLogic Server Automation 8.0 and Atrium Orchestrator

·         Collaborate and/or coordinate with functional and technical groups to translate business requirements into technical design documents

·         Assist in the definition of business requirements, determine scope, estimate work effort and determine duration of development activities

·         Support the project team and customers. Participate in design and peer reviews.

·         Perform mentoring and training tasks for peers and customers as required; transfer project knowledge to other team members and customers as required.

 

1.3     Required Knowledge and Experience

·         A desired 3 year minimum administrative level experience consisting of installing, configuring and administrating the BMC ITSM Remedy based applications (v7.6 or higher) with AR System (v7.5 or higher) including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management (SRM), Service Level Management (SLM) and Asset Management and Atrium CMDB

·         A desired 3 year minimum application development experience enhancing out-of-the-box BMC ITSM Remedy based applications (v7.6 or higher) including AR System (v7.5 or higher), Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management (SRM), Service Level Management (SLM) and Asset Management and Atrium CMDB

·         A desired 2 year minimum application customization experience customizing new forms, objects, workflow, etc. layered with out-of-the-box BMC ITSM Remedy based applications (v7.6 or higher) and AR System (v7.5 or higher) including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management (SRM), Service Level Management (SLM) and Asset Management and Atrium CMDB

·         Advanced skills in one or more IT roles such as systems administration, infrastructure engineering, and network/security engineering, database and data management

·         Hands on experience with tier 2 and 3 support model in IT Operations mission critical 24x7 environment

·         Superior troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving methods and experience

·         Collaborative, energetic and engaging individual that respects and works well with others including all levels of management, customers, IT personnel and peers

·         Must possess good communications and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

·         Mastery of the Microsoft suite to include Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio

·         ITIL Foundation v3 certified

1.4     Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

·         Experience with the development and/or support of one or more product integrations to BMC ITSM Remedy Suite such as but not limited to, BMC Atrium Discovery Dependency Mapping v8.0 or higher (ADDM), BMC Proactive Net Performance Management (BPPM), BMC BladeLogic Server Automation 8.0 and Atrium Orchestrator

·         Experience with Remedy mid-tier, AR system and database performance tuning/performance optimization

·         Experience with ITSM Analytics (8.0 or higher), Business Objects Enterprise (BOE), Dashboards for BSM 2.5.01 and Crystal Reports

·         Knowledge of Federal government security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures

·         Ability to write SQL queries/reports from MS SQL Databases
