Job Title:               VBA/Access Developer(GC, GC -EAD, TN Visa, Citizen and Local only) Location:               Greensboro, NC Duration:               6 – 12 months    Job Description:- The Application Developer is responsible for the development of internal– and external-facing products written in Microsoft Access (Forms, VB Scripts, Reports, and Queries) and Microsoft's .Net Framework. This position will maintain and implement new functionality in applications written in Microsoft Access and .Net that make use of SQL Server including stored procedures, and SQL Reporting Services.  Experience with Microsoft's SQL Server 2008 or later environment is a must.  The developer will work on a team of developers with similar complimentary skills and will be required to meet deadlines while delivering quality   Design, Development & Support of Specific Functionality as Directed by a Team Leader. Development of new screens and objects in Microsoft Access/VB.Net/C#. Development of Microsoft Access Forms and objects. Development of VB.Net and WCF services. Unit, Integration, and Systems Testing of components. Develop and maintain SQL queries, and stored procedures. Communication with Team to identify road blocks. Responsible for the overall security of systems they will be administering including protecting client data and reporting situations which may provide unintentional elevated access.  The employee will regularly review corporate policies and will enforce the policies documented in the Security Standards. Required Skills: Microsoft Access development using forms, reports, queries, VB script (Min 1 year) (Must) Must be self-motivated, Access pro, quick learner and willing to take on support of a complex Access/SQL application without much direction.  .Net experience or desire to learn required as existing application will be replaced over the next couple of years Strong SQL skills (Must) Travel to a client site in Arkansas a few days per month TFS (Team Foundation Server) (Must) Experience with basic Development Patterns Strong OO fundamentals and expertise Ability to juggle multiple projects and course correct as business drivers change Experience developing applications on Windows Server environments Experience working with Agile Development methodologies Nice to have: Experience with .Net (C#, VB.Net, etc.) (Nice to have) WCF and WF (Workflow) Nice to Have Experience and usage of ADO Entities (Nice to have) Winforms Knowledge (Nice to have) WPF Experience (Nice to Have) MVP or MVC Frameworks (Nice to Have)
