Position: DB2 DBA

Location: Carson City, NV

Duration: 7+ months

Responsibilities 

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, or any other equivalent degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of DB2 DBA experience in ZOS platform.

·         Administering complex DB2 environments with multiple subsystems.

·         ZOS tools and utilities - TSO, ISPF, SDSF, JCL, DFSORT, ICETOOL, DFDSS, DFSMS, DFHSM, OMVS, RACF, REXX/CLIST.

·         DB2 tools – SPUFI, QMF, DB2 Admin Tool or equivalent, DB2 Object Compare or equivalent, IBM Data Studio, Omegamon or equivalent, Query Monitor or equivalent.

DB2 utilities.

·         IBM Optim TDM and Archive.

·         Application Lifecycle Management tools similar to LCM, CHANGEMAN, ENDEVOR, SCLM, RTC, or similar.

·         DB2 backup and recovery.

·         Work with the DMV Application team to understand the requirements and design databases.

·         Implement and migrate database changes.

·         Securing database objects.

·         Evaluating and tuning SQL.

·         Tuning DB2 subsystem.

·         DB2 Attachment facilities.

·         REXX/CLIST.

·         COBOL/CICS/DB2 application programming environment.

·         Data modeler tools like ERWIN or Oracle Data Modeler.

·         Analyzing, debugging and troubleshooting issues and ABENDs.

·         Installing and configuring DB2 Connect.

·         Tools similar to Data Propagator

·         ETL tools to extract DB2 data from ZOS staging tables in distributed platform.

·         Data modeler tools like ERWIN or Oracle Data Modeler
