Web Application Tester

Seattle Washington

6 month Contract 

 

5 + YEARS EXP 

Web Application Tester - SDET 

Responsibilities: Work as a contractor on a team developing web applications. Your role will be focused on testing our cloud based system built with .NET technologies and modern web front end using HTML5, Bootstrap CSS, and JavaScript. You will work to improve testing on our CI/CD process through automation. 

Requirements 
The ability to understand technical specifications, write test cases based on design specifications, and execute test cases 
Experience writing test reports and defect reports 
Strong understanding of Web browser quirks, and workarounds 
Familiarity with some combination of technology/frameworks such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Ember.js, React.js, Bootstrap, etc. 
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX 
Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds 
Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. 
Some experience building and shipping software 
Experience with web testing, web traffic monitoring tools like Selenium, Fiddler, Wireshark, Postman, etc. 
Experience with Git 
Good troubleshooting skills 
A strong work-ethic, are collaborative, reliable and a self-starter
