Position : SQL DBA Lead
Location : Greensboro, NC
Duration : 6+ months
Client:- Wipro

Need 9+ Years candidate.

Job description :

•             SQL installation, configuring Mirroring, Migration, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008R2, 2012.

•             Should have over all understanding and knowledge of Oracle & Informix database

•             Extensive Experience in providing Production support for Database and Applications.

•             Expert in job scheduling & trouble shooting of user and system.

•             Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving various site performance issues and tuning.

•             Designed and implemented disaster recovery plans (Like Log Shipping, Mirroring & multi node failover cluster.

•             Backup and restore strategy involving complete database backup/restore, transaction log backup/restore.

•             Extensive experience with Monitor, tune and analyze database performance and allocate server resources to achieve optimum database performance.

•             Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, commitment, results oriented and hard working with a quest and zeal to learn new technologies and undertake challenging tasks.

 

Additional

 

•             Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written

•             Strong knowledge in externalization solutions and Network technologies

•             Ability to work with global teams as well as individually with minimum supervision

•             Ability to work in a flexible schedule

•             Prior experience in implementing cloud (private/public cloud model) projects

•             Knowledge of ITIL process

•             Previous experience working in complex and mission critical environment

•             Technical Documentation skills

•             Serve as the primary point of contact for Wipro team

•             Manage work load distribution for the L1/L2 teams

•             Drive complex change requests execution and critical incident resolution

•             Drive knowledge acquisition and service setup activities and share knowledge and learnings with team.

•             Proactively identify and suggest to customer areas of improvement in current infrastructure

•             Serve as an escalation point of contact for the Wipro team

 

 

Minimum Experience Required: 9+ YEARS

Mandatory Skills: MS SQL Admin Database Performance Tuning, Infra Performance and Optimization, Database Consulting, Database High Availability, Database Admin, Vmware Admin

Desirable Skills: Oracle Admin
