Role: Data Modeler
Location: El Segundo/LA
Duration:- 8+ Months

 

Job description:-

Building Relational Logical and Physical Data Models experience is a must with a minimum of 5 years' experience
Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin or Power Designer.
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 (AS400 Environment)

- 'Serve as a data expert for building integrated operational data store (ODS) for a CPG customer in US region
- Work closely with various source application SMEs to drive the definition of the ODS data dictionary and data mappings (to-and-from source systems to ODS)
- Work with business SME's on need basis to define consistent ODS data dictionary definitions and source-to-target mappings
- Closely work with project business analysts to understand and assess process requirements to see how they impact data flowing to / from source systems to ODS
- Provides centralized direction for data catalogs, metadata repositories, data definitions, and data relationships
- Owns the authoring and coordination to deliver key data specific documentation including the ODS data dictionary, source-to-target mappings, Technical design documentation of ODS.
- Review and support data model changes for adherence to their documented source to target specifications (in some instances apply changes to ODS data models using sybase power designer)

Closely work with project business analysts to understand and assess process requirements to see how they impact data flowing to / from source systems to ODS
