Our client looking to move their Healthcare Analytic SQL Server Databases (30-40 TB's of data) to a more scalable platform that better meets their growing needs of their Healthcare services. They've decided that Hadoop would be the best solution for them, and this system would built using Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) with the Hive Architecture deployed to AWS S3 (Amazon Web Service Simple Storage Solution).
This person will play a key role in the design, development and implementation of this and will need to have experience with (in order or importance):
- Hadoop, HDFS, Oozie, Hive and HiveQL (the query languages used to pull the data out of Hive/Hadoop),
- Python programming for pulling customer configuration data out of MySQL databases- must have
- T-SQL/SQL Server (there is another team that will be primarily responsible for migrating the data from SQL Server to HDFS/Hive, but solid knowledge of T-SQL/SQL Server is desired in order to provide support of any issues that are encountered in the migration)
- MySQL (this is where the customer configuration data is stored and accessed via automated scripts written in Python)
- Experience deploying to the Cloud (they are using AWS S3, but experience to any cloud platform will do)
