QA Tester with Healthcare

Job Description:
"Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group.
Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for developing and executing automated test plans for web-based applications. Responsibilities include:
• Develop test automation and execution activities for assigned projects with a focus on batch and interactive product testing to validate interactive operations of the UI, grouping, editing and reimbursement results from GPCS.
• Participate in product design sessions and influence designs based on testing needs.
• Participate in planning to identify approach to testing.
• Support design/development/maintenance of appropriate automated solutions and develop test cases and test data to certify that the specifications are satisfied.
• Wok with engineers to embed and execute test cases into the build process, report on defects, test defect fixes.
• Participate in retrospective reviews to identify process improvement ideas and implement.
• Participate in and/or lead client product/feature demonstrations.
• Identify risks, risk management in support of release goals.
• Provide customer support to address/resolve issues identified by clients.
• Communicate effectively and serve as a point person to work with physicians and other subject matter experts in design of appropriate analytics.
• Must be able to accept specifications from a variety of sources and formats including legacy code, i/o samples, and non-technical personnel.
• Understand HIPAA requirements, encryption and appropriate storage of data.
Required Experience:
1. Accredited baccalaureate degree in computer science or information systems management degree or related field 2. 3 years experience automation of software testing or software development experience within healthcare or comparable business experience 3. Proficient in use and automation of Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel; demonstrate ability to improve on these skills through career development activities
Preferred Experience:
Experience with healthcare related data (claims and billing, healthcare informatics, inpatient and outpatient data) and HIPAA requirements Team player yet able to function independently with minimal supervision. Highly organized and able to create repeatable processes that are error-proof and fully documented.
Excellent problem solving, data collection and analytic skills. Ability to identify data anomalies and suggest corrective courses of action.
1 year experience with Selenium, Quick Test Pro or other automation tool
1 year experience working on an "Agile" team
1 year experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server within an Agile development environment Demonstrated technical skills with sound oral and written technical communications Able to communicate effectively to non-technical audience both verbally and written Possess a majority of the skills in project management that are recognized within the Business/Department unit Demonstrate ability to research relevant topics and develop work plans Participate in required and recommended educational and training opportunities
