Position: Oracle database Engineer with "goldengate" exp

Duration: 12 months

Location: San Jose CA

Experience: 7+

Client: Altimetrik Corporation

 

Primary skills:

 

Oracle Database Engineer with Golden Gate experience

 

Description:

 

Deliver various DB changes to client's mission critical production databases.

Database support and engineering

Manage thousands of Dev/QA Database instances supporting PP cloud

work with Product Development every day understanding requirements and implementing solutions so must be good with building relations with customers and partners

Triage incidences and identify root causes

Strive to achieve client's availability goals

SQL review/tuning and suggest areas of improvements

Able to gel with a large team of DBAs, Operations groups, Capacity, and ETL team and willing to share knowledge

Execute critical change requests

Provide quality customer satisfaction

Follow change management and security guidelines

Must be solid with Shell, Perl, and/or Python to deliver on automation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to document and enhance process oriented approach.

Must be able to Multi-task and prioritize without much supervision
