Job Title: Windows Administrator/ Intel Administrator
Location: Omaha, NE
Duration: 12 Months
Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and tune computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This position will also plan and implement policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Plans and develops long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers
• Works with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives
• Deploys workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all host security systems
• Manages all operating systems, end-user software, and input/output fleet, including printers and scanners
• Manage communications (e-mail, IM and other supported messaging systems) and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, intranet, and Internet applications
• Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
• Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
• Conducts network and security audits; tests and performs routine system backups and restores
• Mitigates, anticipates, identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
• Analyzes system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases
• Creates required reports for business user needs
• Develops, documents, and maintains policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use
Requirements
Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications -
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• At least three (3) years' experience with Windows 2008 and Active Directory management to include one (1) year experience with shell scripting
Other Position Requirements –
• Demonstrated knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Windows 2008, 2012 or Linux (Redhat or Suse)
• Demonstrated knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including firewalls, Active Directory
• Demonstrated knowledge of local area network administration
• Experience with software and hardware troubleshooting
• Experience with data management
• Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
• Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in Microsoft MSCA Windows 2012

Essential Functions
The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
