Description::
A production support generalist will serve as the front line of support for system issues. They will monitor for notifications (alerts) and follow established process towards resolution. In addition to monitoring and resolution of alerts, they will be responsible for status reporting and shift handovers.
· Good communication skills
o Good verbal and written command of the English language
o Ability to effectively read and follow documented technical instructions
o Ability to document resolution steps
o Ability to effectively provide status in a written or oral medium
· Sound technical knowledge (SQL and shell scripting) and troubleshooting skills
· Willing to work in shifts, including night shift
· Organized, methodical and proficient at following process
· Should be a very good team player, collaborative, self-learner and self-motivated
· Good sense of ownership
· Persistent in getting issues escalated and resolved
· Good analytical skills and logical thinking
· Understanding of Banking /Finance sector
· 2 years' experience in Linux or UNIX
· Should have understanding of shell scripting
