Job Title: Sr. Web Developer
Location: Marina Del Rey, CA
Type of hire: 6+ months Contract
Interview Mode: Telephonic and F2F
Job Responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet/intranet applications, including web front end, middle service layer and SQL backend; leading team of on-site, off-site and offshore developers
Job Duties:
• Designs, develops (code) and support web applications and conduct unit tests
• Participate in the Agile/Scrum process, design sessions, and code reviews as needed
• Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
• Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools
• Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications:
• A history of implementing successful web applications and APIs
• A love for keeping up on trends in web technologies
• Extensive experience and sufficient understanding JavaScript and JavaScript Framework, like AngularJS and Backbone.js
• Extensive experience with ASP.Net and C#
• Thorough understanding of HTML5 Standards
• Familiarity with responsive web design concepts and mobile trends
• Strong Computer Science Fundamentals
• Understanding of backend data systems, especially SQL and some Windows/Linux administration
Nice to Have Qualifications:
• Experience with Amazon Web Service is a plus
• Experience with webSynch is a plus
• Experience working with off-site and/or offshore development teams is a plus
• Previous work with a multi-national, geographically distributed team is a plus
• Understanding of the Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication is a plus
Required Experience:
• At least 5 years of web development (MS Visual Studio, ASP.Net, C#, REST, AJAX, HTML5 and Node.js)
