Focus: Front End Developer with some backend skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

▪ Work with Product Designers to implement the next generation of ShareThis products 
▪ Build beautiful and efficient front-end abstractions and systems 
▪ Identify and address performance bottlenecks 
▪ Participate in a progressive agile environment, including design and code reviews 
▪ Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa 
▪ Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering & software construction in general

QUALIFICATIONS:

▪ 5+ years of industry experience 
▪ BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent experience 
▪ Passionate about automated testing and best practices 
▪ ▪ Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components 
▪ Experience developing rich applications with Responsive design frameworks, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, XML, Facebook Connect integration and other social networking APIs, REST, Browser compatibility 
▪ Passion for performance, debugging and benchmarking 
▪ Can partake in full stack development (primarily to service required data to view layers) 
▪ Working knowledge of: Python (Django, Google App Engine...), MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, No-SQL, App Engine Datastore (Bigtable), MongoDB, Memcached, Redis, Linux, Apache, Nginx
