We have an urgent requirement for our client based in CA

 

Role : BI Solution Architect

Location : Redwood Shores, CA

Duration : 6-12 Months

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

The successful candidate will have a strong proven background in business intelligence. Ideal candidate will also have consistently demonstrated business process and technical leadership partnering with internal teams as well as key external IT and business partners. Several successful reference-able business intelligence initiatives in the past are expected with entertainment industry successes a big plus.

 

In addition successful candidate must have:

 

·         Very strong understanding of Data Warehousing theory (both Kimball and Inmon approaches), deep understanding of Big Data architecture and unstructured data analysis approach

·         Previous working experience in a digital data environment, providing BI solutions.

·         10+ years' experience in information technology, with at least 5 years of experience leading and delivering complex BI initiatives on the enterprise level

·         Ability to design complex systems and translate user requirements into business solutions

·         Experience in interviewing business users, collecting and interpreting requirements, explaining the solution details to business audience and run business workshops

·         Hands-on experience with at least one of major BI platforms (Business Objects, OBIEE, Cognos) as well as familiarity with some emerging data analytics tools (Tableau, Spotfire, QlikView)

·         Hands-on experience with Big Data/Unstructured Data analytical tools (Endeca ID, Datameer)

·         Understanding of Essbase architecture and EPM processes

·         Strong understanding of data acquisition, cleansing and integrations processes (ETL, ELT); hands-on experience with one of the major data integration tools (Informatica, ODI, Clover, Pentaho)

·         Previous experience with Oracle EBS, Demantra, Workday as transactional sources as well as previous experience implementing Oracle BI Applications is a big plus

·         Must be flexible and adaptable to changing business models and Organization structures.

·         Must be able to effectively communicate and manage onsite and off-shore development teams.

·         Ability to plan and deliver cost effective results.

·         Willing to travel as and when required.
