Position : DevOps Engineer

Location : Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 6+Months

 

·         Salt-Stack based deployment

·         ops support - respond to alerts, escalate etc,

·         system knowledge - For e.g. 

·         Not just reboot but if up-time is still down, diagnose that and dig deep (basic SRE knowledge/Mindset)

·         Garbage collector tuning – should know what parameters to look for 

 

Position : DevOps Engineer with Hadoop exp.

Location : Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 6+Months

 

4 rounds of Interview we have TWO different positions.

 

with Milind Khandekar + Jenny :

1.        Hadoop operations experience; cloudera will be great; 

2.        Done deployment in production

3.        system skills: automation OR sysadmin levels

 

Position : Hadoop Admin

Location : Cupertino, Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 6+Months

 

·         Need Strong Hadoop Admin exp.

·         60% Admin 40% Development exp.

 

Position : DevOps Engineer with Production Environment

Location : Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 6+Months

 

This is more of operations role responsible for sustaining and managing big data platform data pipeline platform.

Any profile with 8+ years of experience in DevOps role with background in sustaining data pipeline platform is good fit for this requirement.

 

For Data Pipeline Operations Engineer:

·         Firstly they should have worked on  production environment as DevOps person

·         They should have worked on production Hadoop or any big data cluster

·         Scripting skills : Python and Unix Shell Scripting

·         Experience in production deployment and configuration of scheduler (Data Pieline)

 

Position : Senior Developer / Hadoop Platform

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 6+ Months

Number of Positions: 5

 

Mandatory Skills Required

·         Mid to Senior level Developer with 8 to 12 years experience (Hands on)

·         Hadoop (native MR jobs experience), core java fundamentals, strong computer science fundamentals

·         Must have exposure building production software on Hadoop

 

Optional / Desired Skills Required

·         Scala is optional /preferable but HAS to learn Scala very quickly on-the-Job (good learn ability)

·         Apache Spark knowledge desirable

·         Python scripting experience 

·         Experience in HPC/Scientific Computing

·         NO experience in HIVE / PIG needed

 

Roles and Responsibility

·         Someone capable of writing Java based Crunch or Cascading pipelines. This person would be proficient in Java (or Scala even).
