Role: JAVA ARCHITECT
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6 MONTHS

Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of Enterprise level architecture experience, preferably in large financial institutions.
- Strong presentation/white boarding skills; lead architecture discussions in front of business leaders and technically strong colleagues.
- Capable of identifying power bases and anticipate human dynamics in the working environment.
- Excellent conflict resolution technique and capable for building consensus with business, technology, and management across multiple organizational structures.
- Heavy hands-on experience with web-services and significant knowledge of SOA standards and other approaches to service-oriented integration
- Strong Programming background/skills in C#/.Net, J2EE and best of breed commercial products - DB2, Oracle and scripting languages with in-depth knowledge of related enterprise best practices, standards, and libraries.
- Experience in Investment Domain/Capital Markets needed
- Breadth of technology experience across legacy/distributed systems.
- Experience integrating custom and enterprise class products tools.
- Experience in various software development approaches from Waterfall to Agile, including test-driven development.
- Strong problem solving abilities, analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Mentoring of experienced and junior Architects.
- Articulate and influential communicator (both verbal and presentation skills)
- Team player; Ability to blend in a highly complex eco-system of stakeholders, vendors etc.

Description:
Responsible for successful realization of business opportunities via developing and architecting cost efficient IT systems promoting the tenet of service oriented architecture and reuse of existing assets by standardizing, commoditizing and automating system and business processes to drive cost efficiencies. Requires excellent architecture, technical, analytical, communication and conflict resolution skills with SOME investment domain expertises.
- Act as the emissary of the architecture
- Envisioning, architecting, designing and implementing financial systems across front, middle and back office.
- Engaging as a technology leader to blueprint and define future architecture roadmaps
- Driving Key technology and business transformation imitates, providing architectural guidance, and oversight of development teams across the bank.
- Successful realization of business opportunities via delivering timely and cost efficient IT systems promoting the tenet of service oriented architecture and reuse of existing assets by standardizing, commoditizing and automating system and business processes to drive cost efficiencies.
- Provide solution architecture. Ability to synthesize information ; bring inputs from vendor's / industry best practices around the subject area(s) involved and drive solutioning.
- Ability to drive trade off analysis based on functional / non functional gaps , TCO etc.
- Ability to quickly understand complex business problems and drive quick Proof of concepts to drive solutioning
- Maintain credibility with business users, system developers, and operations staff.
- Working with / leading / guiding / influencing multiple blended teams of full-time employees and onshore / offshore contractors operating at multiple locations across time zones.
