Description:

Seeking a Physical Data Modler – Sybase or Oracle.  This role is located in Chicago's near suburbs.  Technical Skills ·       5-10 years Data Modeling experience with Sybase (ASE and IQ) or Oracle ·       Power Designer is preferred (ER/Studio or Erwin are fine must have experience with a Data Modeling tool) ·       Exposure to SQL and InfoSphere DataStage   Professional Experience and Background ·       5-10 years of experience ·       Must have solid Physical Data Modeling experience and a strong understanding of Logical Data Modeling Education and Training ·       Bachelor's Degree     Duties and Responsibilities ·        Write Physical Data Models ·        Help to develop a more structured Data Modeling environment ·        Must be able to take 3rd Normal Form (3NF) and turn it into a physical Data Model ·        Responsible for taking Entities and Attributes and turning them into Tables and Columns ·        Will be responsible for creating index keys to plan for volume, generate DLL's and control Data redundancy ·        Work with the Database Developers and DBA's and Application Developer to explain the Data Models and install ·       Qualified candidates must be able to work from requirements and enhance the current physical models with-out a logical data model   Personal Attributes ·       Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities ·       Strong written and verbal skills ·       Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Overview The Physical Data Molder's primary role is to work as member of the team to create Physical Data Models and help to create a more structured Data Modeling environment.
