UNIX Engineer/ Developer - New York City -6 Months

UNIX Engineer/ Developer

Location - NYC

6 – 12  Months

5 - 8 Years exp

 

The candidate must be skilled with one of the mainstream configuration management systems, have experience with their virt/cloud extensions, and UNIX/Linux background.
Skills Required
* Knowledge in one the following: Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack, Ansible, CFEngine, or Quattor
* Experience with Virtualization Technology and/or Containers
* Strong Perl or Python development skill
* Experience with building Scalable Architecture
* Understands how to efficiently use a database and analyze queries
* Understands fundamental Linux/UNIX concepts
* Thought leader and strong communicator of ideas

Skills Desired
* Git and familiar with code review tools like Gerrit or Atlassian tooling
* Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Methodologies
* Contributor to open source project(s)
* Open Stack
* KVM/QEMU and Libvirt
