Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Addison, TX

Rate: $50/hr on C2C

Client is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in assessing and implementing solutions for optimal user experience for mobile and web applications.  The ideal candidate will be able to assess several Securus applications and define UI design patterns, standards, and sharable components that can be leveraged by project teams in a consistent and repeatable way.  The candidate will be engaged to understand the current architecture and processes in order to identify areas of improvement in standards and process.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities: good written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented, organized, self-starter, driven, and attention to detail. This job also assists other team members by providing cross-training and technical expertise.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Participate in Agile development teams

·         Define and implement standards for application UI development

·         Create UI patterns and components for maximum reusability by other teams

·         Train and oversee the implementation of UI standards across project teams

·         Assess and recommend solutions to maximize user experience for both new and existing solutions

·         Design and implement responsive UI solutions for various devices, including web, mobile, and kiosks

·         Evaluate trending technologies, concepts, and techniques for trending ideas to implement within Securus development practices

 

Qualifications

·         8 years of user interface design and development

·         3 years of user experience analysis and solution design

·         3 years of experience with Agile project teams

·         5 years of developing for multiple browsers and platforms

·         Strong aptitude to identify and mitigate project risk

·         Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

·         Passionate about developing great user experiences

·         Experienced in Responsive web design

·         Front end development experience focused on easy-to-use and fluid interfaces

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Self-motivated with a drive for excellence

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent work experience.

 

Required Technical Skills

·         UI technologies including: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON

·         CSS preprocessors including LESS and SASS

·         Web development using JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap and jQuery

·         App Server experience (JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic or Liferay)

 

Preferred:

·         CMS experience (Liferay preferred)

·         Axure prototyping

·         Java development including JSP
