Job Title: System Analyst Outcomes Reporting Duration: 6 month+ Location: Chattanooga, TN Interview: Phone than Skype
System Analyst Outcomes Reporting Position Requirements: We are currently looking for a Systems Analyst to be a key member of our Information Management organization, responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems. It is the responsibility of the Systems Analyst to solve computer problems and apply technology to meet the individual needs of the organization, realize the maximum benefit from investment in equipment, personnel, and business processes, plan and develop new computer systems, or devise ways to apply existing systems to additional operations. This role also requires consulting with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, and, in turn, writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures. The Systems Analyst works in concert with the Solution Architect, Development Lead, Business Lead, and other Scrum Team members in an agile process to deliver high quality and efficient healthcare solutions for our clients and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing reporting systems. • Coordinate with end users and management to determine reporting and query needs. • Use reporting software or other query tools to create and modify reports and queries that help users be more efficient in their jobs. • Study current systems and/or develop/recommend new systems and procedures to devise workable sequence. • Help automate tasks and systems integrations where there is a need. • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. • Analyze and verify the quality and integrity of data contained within our data sources for existing and proposed systems and implement solutions as necessary. • Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology. • Provide minor programming for some in-house IT projects. • Write technical procedures, user guides, and technical as well as functional documentation for the applications and assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects. • Develop flow process charts, diagrams, and documentation in detailed form for reference and training. • Prepare system specifications including input and output requirements. • Participate in scrum team meetings as scheduled.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Ability to understand complex Healthcare business requirements and convert them into actionable solution designs • Should have participated in, and be familiar with Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices • Experience in Test Driven Development and SDLC methodology. • Should have hands-on expertise in building Database Solutions (Teradata, Oracle, DB2) with deep understanding of SQL • Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications. • Data Modeling Skills and Understanding Data Hierarchies Required Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools like Informatica • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes. • Strong presentation communication, and problem-solving skills • Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints • Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software • Understanding of team leadership, business practices and their application to effective project management. Strong analytical, communication and technical skills. Able to foster working relationships with the team and client departments • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline and related experience as a project team member of which at least one year was in a leadership position.
