Position: DB2 UDB Admin

Location: Richardson, TX

Duration: 6 months

 

Skills Required: DB2 UDB Administrator

·        Administer and troubleshoot of DB2 UDB server and client software

·        Apply fixpacks / patches as per requirement or patching cycle

·        User & Access management

·        Perform DB2 UDB database build and creation, cloning, maintenance, monitoring and support.

·        Work with various database objects, schema management, database and schema refresh using Export, Import, LOAD and other DB2 UDB utilities

·        Analysis for performance related issues and provide resolutions accordingly

·        Upgrade or Migrate databases to higher version of DB2 UDB

·        Perform backup and recovery operations, including traditional and media management software

·        Experience in implementing and administering high availability solutions like TSAMP - HADR, HACMP, Replication etc.

·        DR tests and backup-recovery strategy planning and implementation for production databases

·        Database sizing and capacity management for production database servers

·        Security administration by adhering the process documents, best practices and periodic health checks

·        Follow ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem and Release management)
