Web Performance Engineer

Richfield, MN

$40-45/hr

·         3+ years experience as a Performance Engineer

·         Proficient with industry load testing tools - LoadRunner, SilkPerformer, JMeter, SOASTA, Keynote, Gomez

·         Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting

·         Experience working in large environments with many moving pieces

·         Ability to work independently within a large team environment with little direction

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills – PLEASE VET THIS

·         Scripting experience 

·         Prior experience in a fast-paced environment 

·         Extensive experience performing javascript development  (3-5 years)

·         Experience with providing recommendations to improve performance

·         Automation Experience

·         Preferred Qualifications:

·         Ingrained agile and devops culture

·         Experience with CPU profiling

·         Understanding of a large n-tier services-oriented architecture

·         Working knowledge of Garbage collection and RHEL administration

·         Strong software development experience working with object-oriented programming languages (Java)

·         Experience with common web technologies (HTTP, REST, Web Services, XML, etc.) 

·         Prior e-commerce experience

What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role?

·         Proficient with industry load testing tools - LoadRunner, SilkPerformer, JMeter, SOASTA, Keynote, Gomez

·         Scripting experience (Batch, Perl, etc)

·         JavaScript

·         UNIX server monitoring

·         RedHat – 2+ years
