Role: : Network Data Engineer
Location: Waltham, MA
Duration: 6+ months

Primary Skills: Network Data Engineer

Job Description:

•             Provide technical support for customer LAN/WLAN infrastructure which includes router/switches/wireless controllers and APs.

•             Work on escalated issues by team/customer.

•             Proactively own and drive all priority issues as per defined SLAs.

•             Problem management and change management.

•             Audit team performance and provide technical guidance to team in order to solve network issues and upgrade their technical skills.

•             Interact and work with service provider/third party vendor to resolve complex network issues.

•             On-call support in off-hours.

 

Skills Required:

 

•             10+ years of experience in managing LAN/WLAN network of medium to large sized enterprise.

•             Ability to work independently on escalated issues by team/customer.

•             Ability to analyze network, identify gaps and propose solutions to customer.

•             Team handling skills.

•             Excellent problem solving/analysis and customer handling skills.

•             Good understanding and troubleshooting skills of switching technologies like STP,VTP,Etherchannel,HSRP,Stackwise,IOS upgrade etc.

•             Good understanding of routing protocols like RIP,OSPF, BGP and ACLs,route-map,etc.

•             Hands on experience on 2900/3750/4500/6500 series switches and Cisco Wireless controllers/APs

 

Certifications:

CCNA (Mandatory)

CCNP (Mandatory)
